MACCLESFIELD FC joined forces with its Community Sports Trust to make Christmas a little bit more enjoyable for patients on the children's ward at the town's hospital.
Armed with a vast array of presents and goodies, Rob Smethurst, Robbie Savage and Danny Whitaker joined trust manager Lee Folkard as they handed them over to some of the nurses on duty at Macclesfield District general.
First team manager Whitaker said: "Our annual trip to the Children's Ward at Macc Hospital is something that I have always looked forward to.
"Whilst it is so sad to see kids who are unwell at Christmas, it really is humbling to put smiles on their faces.
"For the past two years, we haven't been able to see these directly - but from my own experience, I know the impact that our visit has.
"On behalf of us all, I would like to wish everyone at Macclesfield District and General Hospital a very Merry Christmas."
