12th February 2020 CHESTER - Lifeworx Health Store on Northgate Street has undergone a transformation to begin the new decade, addressing the city’s changing wellness needs including diet, beauty, mental wellbeing and physical health.

After 42 years, The Granary Health Store - Chester’s longest-established health shop - has undergone a rebrand and upgrade, moving one door along to accommodate its broad new offering. With a new website, social media and yoga studio to provide a better service to a changing economy, the Lifeworx brand is looking after the evolving needs of its customers, while appealing to new audiences seeking greater options for going vegan, cruelty-free and zero-waste.

Originally established as a seller of nuts, grains and other foods, The Granary has enjoyed over four decades as one of Northgate Street’s most trusted stores, introducing supplements, specialist cleaning products, beauty products and other consumables to its shelves to adapt to changing trends.

The new-look Lifeworx Health Store is bringing Chester’s best-loved all-natural health foods and supplements into the 2020s, plus an increased range of smoothies and vegan, crueltyfree, gluten-free, zero-waste and organic products, plus the guidance of trained nutritionists to offer specialist advice to shoppers looking to make healthy changes.

Manager Michael Butler said: “Our customers are seeking a larger range of natural and organic products to complement a healthier lifestyle, which is why we’ve moved next door to provide for this growing need. We are very optimistic about the future, especially on Northgate Street where long standing independent businesses are now joined by new startups creating a positive retail experience. The new store is being renamed Lifeworx Health Store to reflect the values of The Granary, and we will be offering more organic products for diet, body care and cleaning, as well as a yoga, pilates and mindfulness programme, and less single-use plastic packaging throughout the store.”
