Last Saturday at St. Michael's Church in Macclesfield, MaccMVC (previously Macclesfield Male Voice Choir) and their guest soloists, were thrilled to entertain a full house of 200 people, with 'Songs from the Shows'.

The choir have worked hard through the long pause due to the pandemic restrictions, and not only kept functioning, as was allowed at the time, but have been looking at every aspect of their activity. Their new image and the choice of music to entertain, reflect those plans.

The choir would thank the audience and invited guests for braving the dreadful weather on the day, and for the staff at St. Michael's who looked after things so well too. Their powerful guest soloists from the Royal Northern College of Music put on special performances from well-known musicals both modern and classic. The choir joined them for some songs and also did their own sets, and the audience reacted very appreciatively to all items.

Even with 35 choristers singing on the night, MaccMVC would always give a warm welcome to new singers to see if the choir is for them, but coming along to their twice weekly rehearsals. A programme of regular concerts in lined up for 2022, with events in Wilmslow and Macclesfield already booked for March and June respectively.
