Cheadle-based Entertainment Today Events celebrated the delivery of the eighth annual James Milner Foundation ball on Sunday night with a record attendance of 900, while breaking the charity's fundraising goal of £1million.
The annual gala, which is one of the most prestigious events in the north west social calendar, attracted top names from the world of business, sport and entertainment including James Milner's team-mates from Liverpool FC, manager Jurgen Klopp and pop star Perrie Edwards.
The 8th James Milner Foundation Hollywood themed fundraiser was held at Event City Manchester with Entertainment Today Events transforming the space into a magical experiential journey into the glitz of showbiz, complete with a paparazzi entry and old-world glamour of the silver screen thanks to high tech cinematic stage lighting.
Guests enjoyed a five-course banquet and fizz-filled evening compered by Sky Sports Presenters Vicky Gomersall and Julian Warren. Entertainment was from indie-pop band the Kaiser Chiefs and Duke Beatbox.
The James Milner Foundation (JMF) is a charity established by Liverpool FC Midfielder James Milner to promote healthy recreation for the benefit of young people in need in the UK. The Foundation also supports four key charities: Help for Heroes, Bloodwise, NSPCC and motor neurone group MNDA.
The charity raised in excess of £825,000 over the last seven years and research its initial target of £1million at the Sunday night ball, with a new target to be set for 2020.
Auction and raffle prizes snapped up at the event included a 'meet and greet' with Little Mix, the chance to play paddle tennis with Jurgen Klopp, a 5-star holiday to LA, tickets to The Voice final, a meet and greet with Olly Murs and a round of golf with soccer star Adam Lallana and host James Milner.
Managing Director Joanne Petch said: "We wanted to add some Hollywood sparkle to this year's ball and thanks to our amazing team we brought some LA glamour to a frosty December night in Manchester!
