CHESHIRE East Council has thanked families who featured in a short film promoting the early help on offer for parents at one of their children's centres.

The film explains the council's 'parenting journey' which is delivered in partnership with health professionals and supports parents from pregnancy until the child starts school.

The journey has stops, including sessions for parents and children in their local children's centres, support for the child's language and communication, home health visits and getting ready for school.

A special preview screening was held for some of the 'stars' who were featured in the film.

Dorothy Flude, council cabinet member for children and families said: "I'd like to thank all those who took part in this short film that promotes a really important service.

"Viewers will see, firsthand, from parents about the wealth of support, advice and information available from staff at our children's centres and how valuable contact with others is in supporting their own parenting journey."
