INDIAN THALI PRESTBURY

By Robin Atkins

This new restaurant in Prestbury has only been open a short time and I know the new owner Bilal so I had to visit because of his excellent reputation for quality, service and value. I was not disappointed.

Indians are very serious when it comes to food and a trip to the Indian subcontinent is incomplete without intriguing one's palate with the Thali. Well, this restaurant has saved you the trip! Thali is Tapas which provides incredible nutrition while exciting all the taste buds.

No expense has been spared by upgrading the decor and they are just finalising a stunning cocktail bar and lounge upstairs which is a perfect fit for private parties.

One step inside and I was greeted by Hetesh, Bilal's joint owner who was most engaging and couldn't be more helpful. He went into detail all the options available and guided us through the vast menu with friendly patience and precision.

We couldn't resist the Thali Set Platter for 2 and Hetesh wanted us to experience a starter which was a perfect introduction to what was to follow.

The Thali Set Platter arrived - it was a fabulous selection of Thali on a huge platter which is impossible to describe in detail because there were so many different options. The picture below tells the story!

I am convinced that this restaurant will be very successful. The cuisine on offer will suit all tastes and budgets and the takeaway menu is excellent. It doesn't include the Set Platter for 2 because it's too big!

What I really loved about Thali is the fact that despite the wide range of options available you feel very satisfied but not bloated. Research has shown that a huge percentage of people cannot complete their meal because they have ordered too much!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - they have ticked all the boxes - Quality, Service and excellent Value.
