Beech Hall School pupil Oliver Pinches, has somersaulted to success in a nationwide trampolining competition, securing a prestigious first place prize to be crowned the national champion in his age group.
Talented Oli (12), from Macclesfield, competed against over 550 top-performing entrants from across the nation in the highly-respected National Trampoline Finals, organised by the British Schools Gymnastics Association. Representing the Tytherington-based Beech Hall School, Oli endured an intense battle through the regional and zonal rounds of the highly-anticipated tournament to secure his coveted place at the finals, where he beat others much older and more experienced to the title.
Following hot on the heels of his national accolade, Oli celebrated further success when participating in two consecutive cheer competitions with his team. The recently formed squad secured an admirable third place at the ICE Big Chill cheerleading competition, followed by a very respectable sixth place at the ICC British Open Cheer Championships.
James Allen, Headmaster at Beech Hall School commented: "We are incredibly proud to have a national champion here at Beech Hall School, a truly outstanding achievement which is a testament to Oli's remarkable determination and commitment to training. Engagement, endeavour and effort will always be celebrated at Beech Hall as it is this continued commitment and attitude that will undoubtedly lead to individual success."
