On 6th March 2022, Alexandra Ehlen, a local Cheshire runner will start her attempt of running 7 marathons on 7 consecutive days to raise funds for 7 charities. Alexandra says that the seven charities she has chosen are very close to her heart. The charities that Alexandra will be running in aid of are: The British Red Cross, Cancer Research UK, St Luke's Hospice, The Blue Cross, Police Care UK, Mind, and The Stoke Association.

Alexandra has is an established runner with a fair few marathons and challenge events under her belt, but this will be her greatest challenge yet! Alexandra has been sticking to a strict training schedule, including regular half-marathons and runs with friends and has been actively fundraising for the past 4 months. Her JustGiving page has reached over £3,600 and she aims to reach a target of £14,000 by the end of her challenge. The runs will all start and end at The Crow's Nest Cafe in Northwich on Sunday 6 March. Alexandra is looking for all kinds of support, from cheerleaders and donors on the day to donate onto her online JustGiving page.

Runner, Alexandra Ehlen, says:

"I started running with a C25K group in my village in 2017; the physical and mental benefits have made such a positive impact in my life, as well as making life-long friends via the village running group that fellow C25'ers Kath and Ange and I set up after the course finished. This challenge is a massive step up from my previous running challenges... the last one of which was the Chester Ultra Marathon on 3/07/21 which was 54 miles long. I just want to use my love of running to support those in need."

Join us by wishing Alexandra the best of luck and support her by donating to her JustGiving page or cheering her n from the Crows Nest in Northwich.
