CONGLETON is celebrating its brilliant In Bloom success after achieving 'gold' in the North West competition and being crowned the 'Best Large Town'.
On the back of that double success the town will now go forward to the North West in Bloom and Britain in Bloom 2022 competitions.
'Bloomers' from across Congleton attended an awards ceremony at the Town Hall and were praised for their efforts this summer.
David Brown, who chairs the Congleton In Bloom group, said: "The In Bloom team offers its sincere thanks to all the individuals, groups, organisations, businesses, schools and trusts that supported the initiative.
"Everybody has worked so hard to make Congleton look fabulous this summer. These awards are testament to the dedication, the commitment and passion of all our volunteers.
"The Congleton community pulled together despite the restrictions of the pandemic to put Congleton on the map for its horticultural excellence.
"We are absolutely delighted to pick up these awards and honoured to showcase Congleton to the rest of Britain in 2022."
Other successes on the night include Congleton Park receiving its 14th Green Flag and Buglawton in Bloom receiving a Level Five award.
The judges also presented awards to the town's It's Your Neighbourhood groups which include, Bromley Farm, The Bath House and Physic Garden, Congleton Park, Hilary Avenue Allotment, and Heath View Care Home.
