THIS year’s Hale Barns Carnival attracted a record number of visitors and raised more than £100,000 for the local community.
Festival-goers flocked in their thousands to enjoy the array of family activities and entertainment on offer over the two-day event.
St Ambrose Fields was overflowing with fun during the daytime activity which included traditional fairground rides, falconry displays, supercars, sports, arts and crafts, artisan market, and food village.
The B&M Stage featured a huge host of live music and acts over the two days, including Bananarama tribute Nanarama and State of Quo, a tribute to Status Quo.
The crowds were also entertained by Irish dancing; electric and acoustic group String Infusion; charting Country music star Danny McMahon; Scarlett Quigley from The Voice and the Retro City Orchestra.
The entertainment continued into the night, with an all-star live concert each evening.
Guests danced the night away with spectacular performances from 80s singing sensation Nathan Moore from Brother Beyond; disco and soul legends Odyssey and The Real Thing; reggae jams from Musical Youth; and a headline DJ set from Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp.

“The main aim of Hale Barns Carnival is to raise crucial funds for the community and 100 per cent of the proceeds from the event go back into the Hale Barns community.
“And we are absolutely delighted to announce that we raised over £100,000 across the weekend which is just incredible and totally surpassed our expectations!”
