Forty players took part in a special mixed-doubles tournament, which the Chester-based legal firm began supporting 25 years ago
An annual tennis tournament in Chester marked its 25th year as players from across the local area competed for glory in the Aaron Cup.
Chester-based law firm Aaron & Partners has supported the competition since it was first established in 1994, with this year seeing 40 players coming together to take part in the mixed doubles tournament.
The competition took place at Hoole Lawn Tennis Club. Each team was required to have a combined aged of 70 or more and spectators were treated to fantastic weather until the final games as the tournament unfolded through the day.
The winners were presented with the originally engraved Aaron trophy by Nick Clarke, Senior Partner at Aaron & Partners. He said: "As we originally helped establish the Aaron Cup, we were thrilled to celebrate its 25th consecutive year and present the trophy to this year's winners.
"The competition was fantastic with some really exciting matches throughout the day.
"As a local business, we're committed to supporting the community. We have a great history with Hoole Lawn Tennis Club and it's fantastic to see this tournament still being an important local community event after so many years."
On the day, Steve Barlow and Laurie Williams walked away as the overall winners of the Aaron Cup, coming through a total of 54 games to lift the trophy.
