On Sunday 19th May, Prime Globers will take part in the Manchester 10K run.

As a leading medical communications company, Prime Global is always looking for ways to contribute to meaningful healthcare and wellbeing charities. This Sunday, eight of our Cheshire based colleagues will make Prime Global proud by running 10K to raise funds and awareness for two very important charities.

The runners' first choice is The Christie, which is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe. The Manchester based hospital treats over 44,000 patients each year and employs the leading experts in cancer care, research and education. With someone in the UK being diagnosed every two minutes, their work is essential for beating cancer. The Prime Global people understand the importance of supporting charities like The Christie, as their 20 years of healthcare experience and specialist oncology agency 'Only Oncology', have given them a first-hand view of the developments in cancer research and treatment.

Our courageous runners have chosen to mark the end of Mental Heath Awareness week by nominating their second charity as Mind. Mind is a mental health organisation which provides advice and support, while campaigning to improve services and ensure sufferers are treated with respect and understanding. Mind support services helped nearly 300,000 people in last year alone, but with one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem, hundreds of thousands are still suffering in silence. Prime Global hopes to provide awareness and funding to help Mind achieve their mission to empower sufferers and provide the support and information that can change a life.

The team has raised nearly £600 already so please support them in their worthy cause for two amazing charities by visiting their Go Fund Me page at: https://www.gofundme.com/b56vx-great-manchester-10k-run
