WHO IS CHESHIRE’S BEST COMPANY WHEN IT COMES TO COOKING. WHO ARE THE CULINARY GENIUSES & WHO SIMPLY CAN’T CUT IT.
The Taste Cheshire Food and Drink festival, being held at Chester Racecourse this Easter will be staging the final of the We Love Good Times and Harthill Cookery School, Corporate Cook Off.
Taste Cheshire CEO, Stephen Wundke said he was thrilled that Cheshire’s finest Cookery School and Cheshire’s liveliest online Lifestyle magazine have combined to find out which company has the best cooks as he explains. “When Brian and Izzy approached me about staging the final at the festival, I thought it was a perfect match. A company that cooks together, stays together and flourishes and we want to find out just who those companies are.”
Harthill Boss, Brian Mellor said he was looking forward to seeing what companies today had to offer. “At Harthill we have a great set up that allows us to be able to get many people cooking all at once and the idea of teams within companies coming to cook here thrills me. I am looking forward to the semi-final on the 26th March and of course finding out who will be champions”
Harthill Cookery School and their owner Brian Mellor and We Love Good Times with their CEO Izzy Grey, will put you and your work colleagues through their paces on Tuesday 26th March to find our 2 Finalists.
The two finalists will then cook on the main stage at the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival where, under the watchful eye of Simon Rimmer, we will crown the 2019 winner.
We Love Good Times CEO, Izzy Grey explained the rules “Each team will consist of 3 or 4 people who all work within the same company. The choice is yours but of course your company won’t be current food professionals. Teams must produce, in 45 minutes, a starter, main course and dessert, with every member in the team contributing at some stage. They will be judged on team work, appearance of the dish, complexity of cooking and finally the taste. This is such an exciting competition and I encourage all companies to enter as you are not just taking part in a competition to win you are helping raise money for both Share Shop, Chester’s Homeless Charity and Hospitality Action, the Charity that supports the Hospitality trade.
PRIZES
The winning Team will all be invited as guests of the festival to the awards dinner on the 24th April to receive their prizes. The winners will receive a £320 voucher to dine at the Machine House, Rosset and the runners up will receive a £160 voucher to dine at the Machine House, Rosset
ENTRY FEES
The cost of entering a team is £250 and covers your cooking day at Harthill, a pair of tickets to the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink festival for each team member, a £30 dining voucher for either Piccolinos or Opera Grill for each competitor and a donation to Chester’s Homeless Charity, Share Shop and Action the Hospitality Industry Charity
