PRACTICE makes perfect for young Tytherington ballet dancer Michaela Quinn who will perform in the English Youth Ballet’s production of Giselle.

Michaela, an 11-year-old pupil at the King’s School, first learned to dance in South Africa at the age of three.

And when the family emigrated to Cheshire East last summer she began to train with Bella Danza Studio in Macclesfield.

She now starts an intensive programme of rehearsals before the two-night production at the Regent’s Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent on March 1 and 2.

Michaela said: “You have to train hard, practice as much as you can and always do your very best and when people say ‘that’s not very good,” you just have to try harder.”

The youngster, pictured, is also a talented Irish dancer. She added: “I just want to dance, dance and dance some more and, of course, I want to be a dancer when I grow up.”
