Puddle Ducks, which provides swimming lessons for babies and children aged 0 - 10yrs across Greater Manchester, has just launched its first television commercial which was filmed at their pool, Aqua Nurture, in Gee Cross, Hyde.

The first ever commercials in the learn-to-swim sector, ‘Bubbles’ and ‘Hold On’, were made by Manchester-based Standby Productions and feature a supportive and very proud duck who encourages his little swimmer to do their very best.

Suzanne Horton, owner of Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester, commented: “We are all super proud that our TV commercials were filmed at our pool here in Hyde. To celebrate, we took to the streets of Manchester with our mascot, Puddle, and we were delighted that so many people wanted selfies with him. We must have caused quite a stir with a 6ft duck!

Suzanne continued: “It has been amazing to see the fun and friendly ethos of Puddle Ducks shown on TV screens and throughout the 40 or more marketing high definition, LED screens across the city centre.

“We recently found that the Swimming Teachers Association (STA) reported that 1 in 3 children are unable to swim when they leave primary school. This really highlights to us how important it is for our little ones to learn to swim as early as possible. With this in mind, we hope the campaign encourages more parents to start a swimming journey with their little swimmers.”

The commercials have just completed their first six weeks of broadcasting onto ITV and Sky and will soon be followed by another six weeks in mid-March. They were seen also on over 40 state of the art high definition LCD screens, provided by The Loop, across Manchester’s City Centre.
