Horribly interesting history and scintillating science

A child goes free with paying a adult for those interested in horribly interesting histories. For 50 years the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker near Nantwich was a secret. Its large underground complex, intended as the centre of Regional Government in the event of a nuclear war, tells the fascinating and chilling story of the Cold War from one of its nerve centres.  This offer also applies to the Catalyst Science and Discovery Centre which explores the science and technology behind the chemical industry and explains the presence of much of much of Cheshire’s chemical industry. Two-for-one entry is available at Norton Priory, based in Warrington. Families can enjoy the newly refurbished museum with its delightful 18th century walled garden, tranquil woodland and artefacts from its 900-year history.

Katrina Michel, Chief Executive, Marketing Cheshire, said: “Half-term and Halloween can be an expensive time for families.
