Spring makeover for Church House

Wed 16th June 2010 12.43PM

BOLLINGTON’S Church House Inn has completed its spring makeover and regulars and visitors are savouring its new look. The major refurbishment was carried out following the return of landlords Julie and Stephen Robinson to the pub. The makeover has preserved the original features of the fine, stone-built in whilst enhancing its decor and amenities.

As well as new furniture, soft furnishings, carpet and lighting the kitchen has also been completely redesigned and fitted out. The ladies’ and gents’ cloakrooms have also been given a makeover and there is new outdoor seating in place in time for the summer. As well as the makeover, visitors to the Church House Inn can also sample its new menu – featuring dishes based on locally supplied produce and washed down by hand-pumped ales. All the old favourites are still there, including its celebrated Hot Rocks sizzling platters and Sunday lunches and there are now special menu nights to tempt visitors to the table.

Five delightful bedrooms are available for guests. The pub’s three-star AArated Bed & Breakfast accommodation includes four en suite rooms (one double, one twin and three singles) and bookings are available for a single night, a weekend - or longer. Each room has wireless Internet connection, colour TV, clock-radio, tea and coffee making facilities. There’s also a private dining room upstairs, which is available for private parties, meetings and special occasions.

So if you’re seeking praiseworthy food and a congregation of friendly locals - all in delightful surroundings - visit The Church House Inn in Bollington, and sing “hallelujah!” for the preservation of the Great English Pub!
