Corrie star opens fair

CORONATION Street actress Kate Anthony is doing the honours and opening St Ann’s Hospice’s summer fair. Kate, who plays Pam Hobsworth in the soap, will be joined by two bikers on their Harley Davidson’s who will be collecting the entrance fee (£1 adults, accompanied children free) The big event which takes place at Heald Green Methodist Church on Brown Lane between noon and 3pm on Saturday, June 19. This year’s fair offers a host of new attractions including a children’s petting zoo with some rather unusual animals. Also new for younger visitors are balloon artists, lots of fun in the children’s tombola and competitions.
