Happy: Students celebrate their A-Level successes
THIS year’s A-Level results brought smile to the faces of the hard-working Tytherington School students who made the grade.
The school was filled with pride as students opened their results, surrounded by family, friends and teachers who have supported them throughout their exam journey.
Rebecca Roe, head of sixth form, said: “A huge well done to the Class of 2025! I couldn’t be prouder of the determination and resilience our students have shown throughout this year.
“They leave Tytherington not only with cherished memories but also with a strong foundation for the exciting journey ahead.”
Headteacher Manny Botwe added: “I am delighted with the achievement and progress the students have made during their time at Tytherington. I know that this cohort will go on to achieve really big things in the years ahead.
“We have a very proud comprehensive and inclusive tradition at our Sixth Form. I am so pleased that we have the full range of students moving on to top universities, apprenticeships, and the world of work.”
Ant Wolverson, Nasrin Hatna and Yasmin Morgan have all secured places at the University of Oxford and Eve Chrimes will be attending the University of Cambridge. Edie Chadwick has secured a coveted degree apprenticeship with AstraZeneca.
Alexo Ihnatiev achieved the highest value-added scores in the Sixth Form. This is based on progress made from GCSE. Alexo has secured a place at Edinburgh University to study medicine.
Benjamin Coldwell and Freddie Mitchard have both been awarded places at the Royal Northern College of Music.
