Sweaty Mama is a unique and effective way to exercise with your child. Different to other groups, Sweaty Mama allows you to bond with your child whilst you undertake the workout, utilising slings and their weight to intensify the exercise. They have babies from 6 weeks to 4 years plus attend the classes and in the half terms and summer holidays they even get much older ones coming along to join in with mum and younger siblings.
Georgina who runs the classes across SouthManchester is a fully trained level 3 pre-and post-natal fitness instructor as well as being trained by DR Rosie Knowles (sling expert and founder from Carrying Matters - Dr Rosie Knowles) in sling safety, she also recommends Macclesfield sling library as a place for mums to go and get advice about slings and what would suit them best.
As a mum of 2 (6 years and 5 months) she understands what it is like to be a mum. She understands how hard it can be sometimes getting back into fitness and finding the time to exercise as well as feeling isolated as a new mum. She has a huge passion for family fitness and believes that exercising together is a great way to encourage little ones to be more active by joining in and encourage families to see that children don’t need to be barriers in fitness and fitness can be enjoyed together.
The classes are booked in blocks of 6 sessions and run continuously every week in various locations. Over the weeks you gradually build up your fitness level and strengthen your core to rehabilitate your body after having a child. It’s a fabulous work out to upbeat music that not just mums love. It’s a perfect social class to work out and get lots of happy memories together with other like-minded mum where new friendships are also formed.
Classes can be booked through the website www.georgina.sweatymama.com or you can call Georgina directly on 07487729847.
